"Nope" is a sci-fi horror film that follows siblings Em and O.J., as they attempt to catch an extraterrestrial phenomenon on camera. Will they be able to do it without endangering themselves in the process?
This may be my favorite Jordan Peele movie yet! The main characters are very well-written and well-acted, with believable, fleshed-out personalities and perfect sibling chemistry. They bring so much heart and humor to this film, and you just want to root for them. Beyond that, the theming is absolutely flawless, it's so satisfying to see how every little piece comes together to create a wonderfully cohesive whole. I'd suggest watching it two times, because, while I loved it the first time, I picked up on so many additional details the second time.
I also love the creature design, it's like nothing I've ever seen before and it is horrifying. Truly innovative.
With beautiful cinematography, a great soundtrack, and solid themes, this movie is definitely worth your time!
